For over 30 years we have opened our home during the Holidays to explore our gallery of gifts and creations from our own studio and around the world.  As of last month, we are so excited to announce that we have opened a Cafe to compliment our gift shop and gallery, a long time vision and dream of Victoria Koehn.  With a traditional Bavarian themed menu, we hope this will only add to the experience and excitement each one our our guests receives when they visit us.  We have also added  a dinning terrace over the Spring which overlooks the beautiful Nine-Mile Wetlands in South Euclid, OH –  the experience is quite serene!

11am – 5:30pm

Reservations are not required, but recommended for parties of 4 or more.  Join us rain or shine, as we have converted or Studio into a relaxing place to sip from over 70 teas while enjoying small bites and pastries.

A look into the sketchbook of Norbert Koehn, circa 1974.

A look at the opening reception for the Spoke in Wood exhibit at the Mansfield Art Center in Mansfield, Ohio.  Norbert and Victoria Koehn were selected among a small community of artists with the primary medium being wood.  The show runs from June 7th – July 19th, more information can be found at: http://www.mansfieldartcenter.org/

In a new series depicting scenes from painter, Aaron Koehn’s childhood, he captures and interprets the experience of a football practice.  Aaron Koehn’s paintings and drawings attribute themselves to the structure of events and the layers of depth and thought behind self-definition, through individual and group interaction.  Inserting new interpretations on time and place through rewriting the spatial narrative of memories and experiences. A look into the laboring process of working in granite.  This particular piece was quarried in St. Cloud, MN and weighs over 3000 lbs.  The work begins with saw-cutting to create the form, flowed by chiseling and polishing, a process that is extremely more time consuming than wood, but producing an unmatchable finished result.  Check back soon as we hope to have this piece done in early Spring!

A look into the process of transformation as Norbert Koehn takes a log of fir and forms the organic features to a figurative shape of a boy.  This piece is a free work, a rarity in our busy commission schedule.

Norbert and son Sasha of Koehn Sculptors form subsidiary, SACRED DESIGN GROUP, creating a separate portfolio of sacred art  and providing a more focused and dynamic approach for worship environments.  Some products in include; crosses and crucifixes, sacred art, ritual objected, furnishings, complete interior design and environments, and consulting.
